Custom-built museum display cases have been added to the Main Lobby. These cases are a gift from ORF to the region’s museums. Over the coming years, museums from across the area will use them to showcase highlights from their collections. We hope travelers, guests, and ORF employees find the exhibits both informative and engaging.
July 2025: The Barry Art Museum, on the ODU campus – Selections from the doll collection of museum co-founder Carolyn Barry in conjunction with the United Federation of Doll Clubs Convention in Norfolk, VA.
August 2025: History Takes Flight: The Story of ORF, was curated by Erin Murdock, NAA’s Airport Art Coordinator and Social Media Specialist. It features photos, artwork, and artifacts that trace ORF’s transformation from a small terminal housed in a former golf course pro shop to the region’s major aviation gateway.
September-October 2025: Hampton Roads Naval Museum – In commemoration of the U.S. Navy’s 250th birthday.
November-December 2025: Military Aviation Museum – In commemoration of Aviation History Month.
